Fleming College of Applied Arts and Technology, located in the heart of the Kawarthas, was named for famous Canadian inventor and engineer Sir Sandford Fleming. With more than 90 full-time programs in the areas of Business and Technology, Fine Arts, Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences and more, Fleming offers new opportunities for students to enrich their entire college experience.

At Fleming, students value the hands-on learning they receive, which combines theory and practice. Students have access to Fleming’s experienced faculty and enjoy the benefits of a supportive and challenging learning environment.



All international students applying to post-secondary programs must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent. International students applying to post-graduate programs must have a recognized college diploma or university degree in a related field to the program of interest.


International applicants must meet Fleming College's English language proficiency requirements in order to gain admission to a study program.

Applicants may receive direct admission by submitting one of the following recognized English language test scores:

Applicants with a minimum three (3) years of full-time secondary or post-secondary education with English as the primary language of instruction and an 'Advanced' or 'Senior' level English course may also be considered for direct admission.

Applicants who do not meet any of the above criteria may apply for conditional admission with one of the following:

  • Successful completion of English as a Second Language (ESL) or English for Academic Preparation (EAP) at an Ontario Community College or University
  • Successful completion of English as a Second Language (ESL) program at a partner institution
