Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging

If you�re looking for an exciting career in Commercial Photography, CIT�s programs in Photography and Photo Imaging will build and develop your professional photographic skills with practice-based instruction in top of the range facilities. Interpret and respond to client briefs and work with the latest lighting equipment and editing technologies to meet professional standards of workflow, output and distribution. At the Certificate IV level, you will engage in group and self-initiated activities to produce professional standard photographic folios, learning about image capture, enhancement, manipulation, printing and output for a range of purposes, lighting situations, digital video, applied photo theory, imaging traditions, work safety and industry awareness. If you choose to progress through diploma-level study, you�ll develop a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised and technical competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate photo imaging services. You�ll learn the business of professional photography from brief to conclusion, as well as how to work from a studio or in a range of locations.

ACT Senior Secondary Certificate or equivalent or Adult Entry | A portfolio of 15-20 of your best photographs. Photos can be varied in concept or subject matter or can be representative of a single exploration; Prints should be up to A4 (8�x10�) in size; Images can be digital, analogue, colour or black and white. | Interview (or other negotiated process) | Basic computing skills | Students must also meet one of the following English requirements: IELTS 5.5 (no band score less than 5.0) | TOEFL iBT - 46 | PTE Academic - 42 (minimum of 36 in each band) | TOEFL PBT - 550. Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Photo Imaging is required for entry into the Diploma of Photo Imaging.
