In 2015, James Cook University earned the distinction of being the first private education institution to attain an EduTrust Star quality mark from the Council for Private Education (CPE). James Cook University was established to conduct teaching and research on areas of importance to the tropics. The Singapore campus of James Cook University has a strong commitment to its students, their education and well-being. We understand that it’s not just excellence in education that makes our students successful but also having a physical environment that encourages them to study, to learn and to live. It is critical that our accommodation providers have a similar commitment to helping our students achieve their best.
For the majority of our students, having their accommodation arranged before they arrive is extremely important. It eases the transition to their new life and reassures parents that their children will be safe and looked after when they reach Singapore.
Our accommodation providers must meet benchmark standards set by the University relating to all aspects of accommodation services. The aim of the Service Standards for Accommodation providers is to provide safe, well-integrated and well-managed accommodation for our students. These standards are the minimum our accommodation providers need to offer for a positive, on-going relationship with the Singapore campus of James Cook University and students.
