Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD) prides itself on being a hub for artists, entrepreneurs, designers and makers. The Calgary institution was founded in 1926, and grants certificates, diplomas, and a Bachelor of Design degree.
In 2014, ACAD had a student population of 1,225, with a 1:16 faculty to student ratio and an average studio class size of 15 students. The institution also has more Governor General Award winning faculty than any other post-secondary institution in Canada. ACAD is an institution for students with big ideas, ingenuity, and unique perspectives.
