If you’re attending classes at our Ottawa (Woodroffe*) campus, you may wish to stay at our student residence on campus. You’ll get the opportunity to live with other students just like you and will have all your utilities, accommodations, and meals covered. The Woodroffe campus residence houses 1,050 students in 525 two-bedroom suites. Residents are required to complete a personality profile to help match them with roommates with similar interests, character traits, and sleeping habits.
You may prefer to live with a Canadian family in a homestay situation in order to learn about Canadian culture first-hand. You’ll be provided with your own private room, internet access, and your choice of meal plans. It’s a great way to improve your English skills in a supportive environment.
You may choose to get your own place, either on your own or with roommates. On average, apartments in Ottawa tend to cost $600-$800/month + utilities + food + living expenses. If you share a house with multiple roommates, those costs will most likely be lower. You can make your own arrangements by visiting the Students’ Association Housing Board.
