Admission
English Language Requirements
The language of instruction for all of our programs is English. Students applying to our programs must have sufficient English language skills and experience to fully participate in classroom lectures, assignments, discussions and examinations.
Upon arrival, students will be assessed for their English skills and students who do not meet the English language requirement will be asked to take additional English courses before taking their regular program of study.
Note: those requiring intensive upgrading may have to extend their program of study by up to one year and have to pay up to one academic year of additional fees.
Accommodation
Cambrian’s Barrydowne campus has dorm-style and townhouse-style residences that can accommodate 677 students. Dorm-style units include two single bedrooms, a three-piece bathroom and a kitchenette. Each bedroom includes a double bed, a closet and built-in wardrobe, a study desk and chair, and phone and internet access.
Townhouse residences offer six bedrooms, two of which have design adjustments for special needs accommodation. The bedrooms contain a captain’s bed and all the amenities of a dorm-style room. There are three bathrooms in the units – one full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, and two half bathrooms with a toilet and sink or tub / shower and sink.
