Review the specific requirements for your course. Each course has its own prerequisites and English language requirements.
Once received, complete the application form, and submit it with copies of transcripts, English language test results, and a copy of the photo page of your passport. Once NLC has received a completed application, you will receive instructions on payment of the $100 CAD application fee.
If your application meets our admissions criteria and there is sufficient space in our programs, you will receive a Letter of Offer.
To confirm your spot at NLC, and to receive a Letter of Acceptance for your study permit application, you must pay a deposit of $6,000. Applicants planning to apply for a study permit through the Student Direct Stream (SDS) may make a larger deposit, as needed. NLC will provide applicants with instructions on payment of their deposit.
If you are accepted to NLC, we will send you a Letter of Acceptance once we receive the tuition deposit payment. In addition to the Letter of Acceptance, we’ll also send a Welcome Guide to help you prepare for your arrival at NLC.
We offer student housing at our Dawson Creek and Fort St. John campuses. Campus living is affordable, convenient, and fun with opportunities to enrich your studies and enjoy your social life. Each suite is fully furnished and move-in ready when you are.
NLC offers student housing at our Dawson Creek and Fort St. John campuses. Living on campus is a great way to connect with other students. It’s affordable and convenient. Both campuses have dedicated areas for studying and socializing. All suites are furnished and move-in ready.
Housing fees include electricity, heat, hot water, basic cable, access to the campus internet, and free parking for one vehicle per suite (plug in and non-plug-in stalls are available). Rental fees are payable prior to, or on the first day of occupancy.
Student housing at Dawson Creek is located on campus, close to local businesses, restaurants and shopping. The secure, managed building features indoor and outdoor activity areas including a games room, student lounge, workout area, and several group study areas.
Student housing has two wings with capacity for 190 students and includes assisted living units.
Choose from one, two, three, and four bedroom units. There is also a two bedroom wheelchair-accessible suite on each floor.
Each suite has a comfortable couch and chair, a large picture window, and smaller windows that open. Assisted living suites have custom designed kitchens and showers.
Each bedroom is furnished with a bed, small dresser, bookshelves, computer desk, chair, and is internet and telephone ready.
Each unit has a kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, table, and chairs. Each floor is equipped with a washer and dryer. Vacuum cleaners are available to borrow.
Long-term stay students must provide their own bedding, linen, towels, dishes, and utensils. These are provided to short-term stay students.
Student housing at Fort St. John campus provides a comfortable setting for students to learn, while experiencing the spectacular sights of local wildlife. Located on campus near the north edge of the city, the building is close to scenic forest trails. Enjoy relaxing common areas with ping pong and pool tables, and separate study areas.
