Applying to university for the first time? It is likely that you will start your application on the UCAS website. UCAS is an online service which can help you to apply for university places and keep track of the offers you receive.
Students from outside the EU will have the choice of applying either via UCAS or through a local agent. For more information, please email our admissions team using ask@solent.ac.uk or call +44 23 8201 5066.
The application process for postgraduate students, apprentices and those who are taking professional courses will vary. For more information on your specific circumstances, please follow the links further down this page.
Student accommodation is more than just a roof over your head – the place you live can have a real impact on how well you settle into university life. With six halls of residence and established links with the private rental sector, our dedicated accommodation service are here to make sure that every Solent student is happy and safe within their home.
Solent’s six student residences cater to a range of requirements and are great places to work, relax and meet new friends. The majority of University-owned accommodation is reserved for first-year students, but there are also provisions for returning students, postgraduates, officer cadets and summer students.
Those who would be more comfortable renting in the private sector are encouraged to use the Southampton Accreditation Scheme for Student Housing (SASSH). This scheme, a collaboration between the two local universities, helps ensure that any property you rent is safe and secure.
Currently there are no scholarships available.
