We’re a world-leading university with the highest academic and research standards. But we’re not letting the story end there.

That’s because we’re a place of possibility. We’re always looking for new ways to make things happen. Whether you’re a dedicated student, an innovative lecturer or an ambitious company, Warwick provides a tireless yet supportive environment in which you can make an impact.

And our students, alumni and staff are consistently making an impact - the kind that changes lives, whether close to home or on a global scale.

It’s the achievements of our people that help explain why our levels of research excellence and scholarship are recognised internationally.

It’s a prime attraction for some of the biggest names in worldwide business and industry.

It’s why we’re ranked highly in the lists of great UK and world universities.

All of this contributes to a compelling story, one that’s little more than 50 years old. But who said youth should hold you back from changing the world?

The Guardian: One of the UK's top 10 universities

The University of Warwick has been named as one of the UK’s top 10 universities in the Guardian University Guide 2023, placing 8th.

Warwick was also rated as first amongst the Russell Group for Student Voice and for Assessment and Feedback. We also ranked amongst the top five institutions in the Russell Group for Academic Support, Learning Opportunities, Teaching and Organisation and Management.

The Guardian rank universities through eight different scores, which form a total out of 100. These include what students say about their teaching, feedback and the course itself in the annual National Student Survey. Full details on the scoring criteria and methodology can be found on the Guardian website via our external links.

QS World University Rankings 2024: One of UK's top 10 and Europe's top 20 universities

Applying for Accommodation 2023/2024

  Eligibility criteria

  • You need to have a full time, full year offer of study at Warwick that you have accepted either as your firm or insurance choice through UCAS to submit an application for first year undergraduate accommodation.
  • To submit an application for IFP (International Foundation Programme) accommodation you will need a full time offer of study at Warwick on the IFP programme.

  Before you submit an application

  • You'll need your seven digit University of Warwick ID number ready, found in your study offer email.
  • You should ensure you have fully read and understood our allocation principles and accommodation options for first year undergraduate students for the 2023/2024 academic year.
  • You'll need to apply through the appropriate process separately if you have any specific accommodation requirements, including health and disability needs. You should ensure you complete this process as soon as possible to ensure there is enough time for it to be assessed as you will need to submit suitable evidence in advance of the deadline. Please be aware that you will still need to submit an accommodation application.
  • Your confirmation email and any offers of accommodation will be sent to the contact email address on your student record. This is taken from your UCAS application if you are applying for first year undergraduate accommodation, so please ensure that this is correct on UCAS before applying for accommodation. You will need to provide an email address you will still be able to access in September 2023, so please bear this in mind if yours is a school or college email address.

Check your application

  • When you have completed your application form, please carefully check that your application details, including your accommodation preferences and their order, are correct on the confirmation page before submitting.

  After you submit an application

  • Once you've submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email that will contain the details from your application within 48 hours.
