Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is proud to welcome students from around the world to become a vital part of our inclusive, global learning community. We realize that by welcoming, sharing and celebrating our differences–in culture, language and values–we are able to better achieve AUM’s mission of providing quality and diverse educational opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. You can choose from an on-campus experience in Montgomery, Alabama, distance learning, or a combination.
With over 90 degree programs, AUM ranks among the top universities in the Southeastern U.S. by U.S. News and World Report. In addition to detailed academics, we prioritize practical learning from faculty members who have hands-on experience in their field. In the College of Business, for example, students learn from faculty members who were former managers of Fortune 500 companies, renowned economists, certified public accountants, researchers, and software developers. Students can also gain real-world experience by participating in internships at area companies.
AUM Housing and Residence Life offers students benefits such as being close to classes and activities, living and learning with friends, making better grades and getting involved in a community. You’ll be surrounded by all of the cultural, social and sporting events that make AUM vibrant, and you can build a network of lifelong friends to share your memories of campus life. Our supportive living-learning community will connect you to other students with similar academic interests and experiences.
Our residence halls are new or recently renovated, providing the home-like environment that students request. Single rooms are in an apartment-style high-rise with a spectacular view of campus. Single and double rooms are in an efficiency apartment just a few steps from AUM classrooms.
All apartments are close to AUM classrooms and campus services, and parking is free and close by. Each apartment has a kitchen and access to in-house computer labs, free laundry areas and study lounges. Free cable TV and high-quality internet services are other amenities you’ll enjoy.
AUM apartments are reasonably priced, and there are no hidden fees or gimmicks. Unlike many other places, here you won’t pay extra for utilities or amenities such as cable TV and laundry services. Campus living puts you right where the action is! Our Wellness Center, The Roost cafeteria, library, and your friends are just a few steps away from your desired living hall. Our Residence Life programs make it easy to get involved and meet other students, fostering lifelong friendships.
Our housing community offers something for everybody– private rooms, rooms for up to four-people, and even a family-friendly option. Also, different amenities are offered at different price points, so the options are many. Check out each hall to see what is the best fit for you.
