Tai Poutini Polytechnic (TPP) is a government-funded tertiary education institution, offering a wide range of high quality NZQA-approved practical and vocational learning opportunities.

TPP's head office and main campus is in Greymouth, MAINZ (Music and Audio) campuses are in Auckland and Christchurch, and the Ski Patrol programme is based in Wanaka.

Accommodation
Your home away from home
Students come from far and wide to study at TPP and many choose to stay at Tai Poutini Village, our hostel accommodation located next to the Greymouth campus and near the town centre.
The hostel offers 58 individual rooms in six units. Each unit has a shared common room (with television), bathroom and kitchen. All units are supplied with king single beds, furnishings, a fridge/freezer, microwave and basic cooking equipment. Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are also available.
As in any flatting situation, residents are responsible for their own cooking and cleaning. Internet access is available at the campus library. If you also need Internet access at the hostel, we can help you arrange it. And, sorry, no pets allowed (but we’re sure you’ll have fun anyway!).
To secure your place, full payment must be made in advance when you pay your tuition fee. If you are studying with us for two years, you can stay at the hostel for free over the summer holiday. Living at the hostel is a great way to get to know your fellow students and become part of our campus community.
