Most Satisfied Students :ECU has been ranked the top public university in Australia for most satisfied students in the 2017 QILT (Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching) survey. Results showed 86.1% were satisfied with their educational experience at ECU. We were also the top Western Australia public university for teaching quality, support, resources and skills development.
Times Higher Education :ECU has been named in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings for 2017. Recognising the world’s 200 best universities less than 50 years of age, the rankings are a global showcase of a new breed of university. They focus on performance indicators such as research, teaching excellence, international outlook and innovation, and highlight universities that are developing at an exceptional rate.
Five-Star Teaching Quality: ECU graduates have given us a 5-star rating for teaching quality for the eighth year in a row (2010 to 2017) in the 2017 Good Universities Guide. No other public university in Western Australia – and very few across Australia – have achieved such a consistently high endorsement for teaching quality. The 2017 edition of the Guide also shows ECU graduates continue to enjoy a five-star rating for starting salaries, for the third year in a row.
2017 U-Multirank :In the latest university rankings, ECU received the highest rating of ‘very good’ for Bachelor and Masters graduates finding work locally, as well as ‘very good’ ratings for its close links with local communities.
Undergraduate Minimum Requirements
There are minimum admission requirements to enter ECU courses. You must meet these in addition to meeting any prerequisites and/or special admission requirements for the course for which you intend to apply.
English Minimum Requirements
Academic IELTS: 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT: 70 (no individual score less than 17)
GCE O Level: Grade C or better from specific countries as detailed in ECU’s English Policy
GCE A Level: Grade E or better from specific countries as detailed in ECU’s English Policy
Pearson Test of English (PTE): 57 with no score less than 50 for IELTS 6.0 courses. 64, with no score less than 58 for IELTS 6.5 courses.
OET: A minimum score of B in each of the four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing).
Please note that some of our courses have higher English entry requirements, these include:

There are various ways to meet our admission requirements, such as:

Secondary schools minimum requirements
There are minimum requirements for secondary school results, which can change depending on the country where you completed secondary schooling. Some courses have higher than standard entry or are individually assessed, so this information should be used as a guideline for most, but not all, courses.
Course specific entry requirements
• Standard Entry: Courses with an indicative ATAR of 70
• Higher Entry: Courses with an indicative ATAR 71 – 80
• Assessed on a case-by-case basis: courses with an indicative ATAR greater than 80.
Postgraduate Minimum Requirements
There are minimum admission requirements to enter ECU courses. You must meet these in addition to meeting any prerequisites and/or special admission requirements for the course for which you intend to apply.

At ECU, we have excellent on-campus accommodation on all three of our campuses. Our multi-million dollar development at the Joondalup Campus offers modern apartments over seven floors of accommodation and a range of enjoyable facilities, including a recreation room, barbeques and a swimming pool. Our recently constructed student accommodation at our Mount Lawley Campus features state‑of‑the‑art facilities such as a pool, café, student lounges with Wi-Fi, e-library and more.
On-Campus Accommodation
Campus Living Villages (CLV) manages our accommodation on the Joondalup, Mount Lawley and Bunbury campuses. No matter which campus you are on, you will enjoy an exciting residential life program and a vibrant student community, all located minutes from the University’s main facilities. Apartments are fully furnished with private bedrooms, large kitchens and spacious lounge areas, so you will have plenty of space to hang out with friends and flatmates. Off-Campus Accommodation
Rental Accommodation
Some students choose to rent an apartment, townhouse or house on their own or with fellow students. Houses are usually more expensive than apartments and the cost varies depending on the size, condition and location. Private accommodation is either rented furnished or unfurnished.
Homestay
You can also choose to live in a private home with an Australian family. The chance to be involved in daily life, the learning of our culture and customs, plus the
added advantage of having the company of other people are just some of the reasons Homestay is popular.
