EM Normand launched in January 2013 its new strategic plan 2013-2017 "Values and performance". This plan is part of the strategic coherence of the school, the multi-campus management, the implementation of active pedagogies and the strengthening of the Norman territorial hard core in symbiosis with the companies of the region. It marks a change of scale in terms of ambition and influence through the search for major differentiations, such as the pedagogical innovation of the LaSmartEcole ® project and a policy of strengthened partnerships with the University of Caen Basse-Normandie (UCBN) and Grenoble School of Management (GEM).

Openness to the world, proximity between professors and students, and humility constitute the pedagogical foundations of EM Normandy. In keeping with these foundations, the School has developed a method of learning and innovative progression for its various programs through three founding pedagogical pillars:
Professionalisation has a driving role in the School's educational policy. Indispensable to students, immersion in the daily life of the company allows them to put into practice on the ground the academic knowledge acquired in class. The vast majority of EM Normandie programs thus offer at least one internship in a company lasting several months during each course.
The School has also set up other gateways to the professional world. In addition to the internships, the HEC Entrepreneurs missions (in partnership with the HEC Paris group), the alternation , the matches and the Negotiation Contest * make it possible to apprehend the active life in a new light, with concrete and innovative approaches.
To help students with their research, the Business Relations department provides them with a network of companies. 5,000 closely associated companies are involved in the life of the school and participate in its dynamics. With 16,000 members, the EM Normandie Networkwhich brings together students and graduates from all programs, also offers internships and jobs.
